electronic ignition

I want 2 put a electronic ignition on my 3.7 merc 2barrel thats in my wellcraft 88. Im a little worried cause my friend with the same boat had this done at a marina and i forget the whole story but they ended up taking it off and putting points back on the marina stating it couldnt be done for some reason or other....witch i think was crap....Would i have 2 switch spark plug wires or anything else? Whats a good brand to go with? thanks

two biggest issues I ever saw with the ign system on the 3.7 was the point mointing plate would lose its ground, easily fixed by adding a bonding wire being careful to add enough strain relief to allow for centrifigul advance and two was converting to petronix and failing to follow the instructions to the letter.
