looks great, wish i could afford to outfit my boat with that suite. the only thing i can add is that i've always heard that icom is the best in vhf radios, but nothing really to back that up. enjoy the boat and toys-

I have the Intrepid radio and its a great unit, although not always simple to use.It has safety features as well as being waterproof. If thats a Garmin GPS,they are very easy to use.Mine does not have depth readings on the chart, yet. The Furuno products are excellent and many commercial fisherman tend to use them.Just don't let the salesman talk you into a color unit unless you really want it$$ :D .Good luck....

Looks like you're on the right track. While at the Miami boat show, I saw that Kenwood had a deal through one of the boat stores (BoatUS?) where you could save a bunch on satellite radio (XM or Sirius). I just got my XM adapter and it's great!! No more static and weak signals...just clean CD quality sound. I am really happy with my Garmin GPS, although it is another model. I think their user interface is easy and intuitive.

One more thought...since you're rigging the whole thing at once, take a hard look at the integrated systems like Raymarine and Nav Net. You might save a few bucks and have a single source for all the major electronics. Makes life a litle easier when hooking up ans especially with compatibility and warranty issues. If I had it to do over again, I'd do it all with Raymarine where you can "plug and play" a variety of components (sounder, gps, radar, chartplotter, and PC functions).

Thanks everyone.

As an FYI the electronics have changed a little.

No GPSMAP 182 C, I am getting the WAAS/GPS antenna for the FURUNO 1722C which already has a chart plotter.

Excellent choices :) Seems like your going to do some serious fishing and boating!!! ;) I'm very happy with my furuno582 color sounder and 1622 radar which is now discontinued and the1722 took it"s place. You don't need any more radar then what you have for your size boat. Them Parkers are a nice boat.

:) Enjoy the SEASON!!!
