Hi Ted<br /> Elgin motors were sold by Sears. Those motors with ser#s starting with 571 were made by West Bend. The point gap is .20. Your motor will take a 1/2pint oil to the gal. of gas. The spark plug will be a Champ. j11j gapped to .50. Sorry I couldn't find your ser# on my list, so I can't tell you the year. Double check the #, and I'll try again.
Sorry Ted I made a boo boo. I need the MODEL#.<br /> Model# starting with 571. I list a 571,58771 and 571,58772 as 1954's. A 571,58711 as a 1955. Double check model#. Again I appoligise.
sorry been out. i think the info i gave you was correct this time, i double checked and the sn is 7916629 and the mn is 57158791. the year isnt really important if i have the mixture. thanx for all your time.
