Elto Pal Restoration (Original Color)

Hi, I am restoring a 1940 Evinrude Elto 1.1hp # 4266-11855 I am in the process of polishing all the aluminum parts and will be ready to start reassembly in the next few weeks. What I need some help with is the original color of the gas tank and anything else that would have been painted when the motor was produced. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you HighTrim, I just looked at the site and the information I needed was there. The color is Silver. There are so many pictures of this motor that are of varying colors and I wanted to make sure it is the original color. Thanks again for your help and for the quick response. It is nice to know there are people like you to share information.

During cosmetic restorations, some guys take certain liberties when painting. I am like you and like to make it like original. Let us know how it turns out, love seeing pictures.
