There is a nob on the motor mount where the steering cable passes through the mount. There is a sticker that says engage on one side and disengage on the other. I tried turning it to disengage to see if it unhooked the steering but it didn't. Any ideas what this thing might be engaging or disengaging?? 1987 Force 50hp model C.
