1989 Johnson 60 horse outboard. Engine alarm goes off, only occassionally, but also normally only under full throttle. If I pump the ball on the oil tank it seems to stop for awhile, until I stop and fish and then restart the engine. not sure if the problem is affected by pumping the oil ball though...not sure the two things are related, the alarm is too inconsistant to tell.(will usually be real hard to restart once or twice a day) Bad VRO? Oil injection system dirty and not giving enough oil? I cannot find my damn manual to find out what to even look for or under what conditions an alarm will sound.
