That doesn't answer my question. If I have to look for the Adult section and go there. How do I find that? I'm 73 and probably adult enough but don't know my way around these gadgets electronics.

Re: Engine Alignment tool C 91-48247

Thanks guys, I made one and wasn't sure of it. Having trouble getting everything to line up. It goes in a with a little pressure and wanted to make sure it wasn't to large. read on one forum to hit the bar up and down and sideways. will try that. if that doesn't work get a bigger hammer, huh. former ironworker. Seems to me the engine is sitting a little high on the rear mounts according to the grease readings.I've tried raising and lowering the front but still end-up with deeper marks on the bottom of shaft. will close for today and let you know tomorrow what happens after I use the hammer.

Thanks Don, and thanks again to the rest of ya. I've been reading on the forum for awhile now and have picked up a lot of info. by just reading. I've been working on this boat close to a year now. Put all new flooring, stringers, seats and transom. Tried to mark and keep a record of everything to know exactly wher it all goes. Well after reading my reply's yesterday went back to the garage and was checking to left over inventory and found 4 small lock washers and couldn't remember where they might have come from. So last night sat and read both books Merc Cruiser and the Seloc. The Merc Cruiser didn't show anything that I could tell. The Seloc book did say to put lock washers onto the screws holding the exhaust elbow. I think this is where those 4 lock washers go. So tomorrow morning pull engine again. lesson learned the hard way. Should have taped those washers to the screws upon removal. Thanks again who knows I might have to come back and seek another answer to something. bill
