Engine Balance

I have heard if you have scores in just one cylinder you only have to bore that cylinder. Doesn’t that throw the balance of the engine off because of the extra weight in that one oversized piston?

The oversized pistons are within tolerance of the standard pistons. If the others measure out OK then yes, you can oversize one cylinder.<br /><br />There have been several very good threads on the subject.<br /><br />Good luck!

I believe a bent reed valve caused one cylinder to lean out. Thanks again
