2000 searay 180 bowrider 3.0 ! i replace oil/filter -spark plugs , rotor, and cap. runs fine out of water, but once in water with backpressure the engine bogs down -u can hear the valves clanging n knocking. i noticed when running out of water, oil was leaking out around filter -pan maybe

When in the water, it's more than just back pressure, there is also a load on the engine if you are underway.

Maybe?????? Was it or not?

Did you check the oil level with the dipstick? How is it? Milky????

And what drive do you have???
