Engine Boggs down at full throttle

Have a 78 Johnson 85 started it up,runs fine in the water at idle,planed off nicely,ran about 30 for 5 minutes,came back down to idle speed,gave it full throttle and it like I have no power,only was crusing at about 5 miles a hour,like it was flodding out.<br />Turned it off for about 10 minutes,started right back up,took off,ran fine for about 3 minutes,then bogged down again. Would still run ,but like no power at full throttle.<br /> Anyone know this problem?

Check for fuel restriction.filter,pickup in tank,fuel line connectors sealing. Is fuel primer bulb staying firm when engine falls?

It sound like you may have dirt in the tank.

Thanks all,Rebuilt the Carbs,replaced fuel filter and bulb.<br /> Fix problem,can up to speed and stay there,,,,only thing engine misses a little at full throttle(hesitates,,but can still mantain speed.<br /><br /> Any ideas? <br /><br /> Michael
