Crusader 220 CH 305 cu.in. When I launched this spring the port engine would stall at idle in neutral. I checked the idle speed it was trying to idle at 490 RPM I adjusted the idle speed screw to 700 RPM & reset timing to spec 10*BTDC it was at close to 20*now it bogs down when accelerating. Accelerator pump gives a solid shot of gas. I reset timing by degrees at 16*BTDC it runs alot smoother more power but still bogs a little. The STBD engine timing was set at 7* BTDC I reset to 10* it ran better at the 7* setting. Rochester quadrajet carbs I installed new plugs cap roto & wires last season also has prestolite eletronic ignition. Gas filters are new last season & checked clean. Why the big difference in timming setting between engines? What should I be looking at? Any suggestions? Does it sound like ignition or carburation?
