engine controlls will they fit?

Hi, ive currently got a mercury 9.8 outboard with the controlls and i also have a 40hp seagull outboard with no controlls i was curious to know whether my merc controlls will fit the seagull.<br /> I know that they are completely different engines but is there a chance this could work?Any feed back on this or if any one knows roughly how much the controlls for the seagull would be would really be helpfull and apprieciated.Thankyou...<br /><br />

the controls are not interchangeble. you might could make them work but it would take a lot probably take alot more trouble than it would be worth. considering you can probably a used box for your motor under $100
