94 Yamaha 250 Carb. Just getting this engine together. I am using the OEM oil injection system, not pre-mix.
Today I noticed that there is almost no smoke from the exhaust after the engine has warmed up at idle.
IS THIS NORMAL?
It smokes noticeably at higher rpms and lightly at cold startup. A couple of times, the engine smokes profusely for a few minutes, then clear up and doesnt smoke much at all.
I am used to pre-mixing, I have pre-mixed every 2 stroke engine in the past. My other pre-mix engines smoke like mad at idle.
Sorry for the vague details. I have only rant the motor a couple times on the hose. I'm trying to get everything working/operating 100% before I put her in the water. Nothing like blowing up your new/used motor because you overlooked something...
