Just picked up a 1996 Rage, OMC 115hp (please, no flaming, thanks). I see no means of flushing the engine. My plan is to tap into the water line, immediately after the strainer, and install a means for connecting a water hose. I plan to put in a check valve to ensure the flush water goes one way (as per normal flow) and not back through the strainer). Am I on the right track here? I've heard talk of a flush mechanism already being on the engine, but after a long time looking, I sure don't see one. Boat will now be used in saltwater. Helpful ideas and/or opinions most welcome. If you hate the Rage, I respectfully ask you to please not respond.

Respectfully,

Gary / Pinellas Park, FL

Re: Engine Flush Rage 115

Hi, Gary.

I am not a big fan of the Rages but I am a big fan of the OMC powerplant.

I suggest that you get online with the Whaler website and ask them about the flush feature on your boat. Their Tech Support is very good.

Good luck. :)
