engine flush

when i replaced the poppet valve on my mariner 200efi 1999. i noticed a thin film of salt deposit on the inner passages.i was thinking of using starbrites engine flush on this to remove the salt has anybody used this .any feed back

Havn't used this, but have used Salt-a-Way on my motors used exclusively in salt water. Seems to do the job. Soaked some heavily encrusted parts in it during a tear-down and it softened the crud up to wash it away. I would imagine the two solutions are very similar, if not identical.
