hello i have a LK model, (96-97 production years). 5.7 Gi duoprop it's on a trailer and used in salt water.

just wondering if it's a bad idea to use muffs, won't the inboard pump wear out faster? or should I get a garden hose T adapter inside the engine compartment....
(The boat engine was in a freshwater lake so there was no need to flush it)

Re: engine flush

The muffs feed water to the engines raw water pump. And yes, it's a good idea to use muffs. It cleans the salt out of the water passages in the drive too.
In salt water, you really need to make sure you pull the drive and the props yearly for maintenance, and use grease where it's called for in the owners and service manuals.
