I have a 27' mariah with a 454 bravo combo, and I am thinking of putting in an aux gas tank port of my engine, inside the engine compartment. There is a space that is pretty empty and I could fit a 30-40 gallon tank in the area. The tank would be about 12-14 inches from the exhaust manifolds in the engine bay area. I am worried about the heat from the manifolds heating the tank.

Am I worried about nothing?

The main tank is directly in front of the engine so it has to be ok for the tanks to get warm.

Both tanks are (would be aluminum)

Agree with smoke. It's a non-issue f mounted properly. Will an additional 250 lbs on the port quarter will affect the boat's trim?
