engine hour meter

I broke the glass on the top of my hour meter. I would like to replace the meter. When you buy a new hour meter is there a way to advance the reading so that it matches the hours on the one you are removing?

I don't know about advancing the new meter, I would just write the hours down in my log. Take a look at www.consumersmarine.com, ...get fog free if available.

Good news is that you can advance the time on an hour meter.<br /><br />Bad news is that to do this you need to connect it to a power source and ler the clock run until it gets to the desired amount of time.<br /><br />This could take lots of patients depending on the amount of time on the old meter.<br /><br />Craig
