what do you call those clocks that monitor the amount of hours you've got on the engine?

where do they sell them?

Re: engine hours clock?

I never had one that gave me any trouble if that's what you mean, their all abou the same, buy one that matches your intrementation if it's going to be on the dash.
The few inboard and I/O boats I've had had their hour meters mounted at the engine or in the engine bay.

Hour meters are sold right here on IBoats, Cabelas, Bass Pro and just about any outlet that sells boating supplies -- including Wal Mart. Be aware that these hour meters are nothing more than a 12 volt clock that is active when the key is ON. It doesn't matter if the engine is running or not, if the key is on the meter is running.
