Ayuh,....... Welcome Aboard,........ If it hasn't been abused, it's still a brand new motor,.....

A compression / teak-down test is a better indicator of motor health,.....

If a motor is maintained, 5000 hours or more is common. About 10,000-15000 for diesels

I’d rather have an engine from 2008 with 500hrs vs 50hrs. If my math is right that’s 31hr per year average, nothing to think twice about. All comes down to how it was cared for and how often it was serviced.
