Engine Identification help

Could someone please help me identify this motor.

It seems to be a 65 hp 650 mercury, the serial number is not showing up in any of the search i have done online. The number iam reading is 2247571.

A 1967 model.----First of the red stripe models.----Replace the impeller before launching the boat.-----A very good motor.----Not meant to stay in the water at a dock as they did not come with a stainless driveshaft.

The reason you had trouble finding the year, is because it was made in Canada, and has a different serial number sequence.

Great Thanks for your help. Any idea a value on a running one. Not sure if I should sell it as is or try and get it running.

Those who know how to repair older motors can find them for next to nothing.-----Shops will often not work on them so folks do not want them.-----Some areas they are sought after for parts.----Your location matters too.
