Have an 87 sea ray with a mercruiser 3.0 sterndrive.
When it is started cold, it rattles, shakes, and even stalls unless the throttle is increased.
Once it is warmed up, it idles fine.
I pulled a sparkplug, which was installed new at the beginning of the season, and it was black.
I tried to find a thread about a black plug and couldn't. Could this be the points, condenser, distributor cap, wires, all of the above. Or, am I looking in the
wrong area?
Could it be an incorrect adjusted carbeurator?
Also, I have installed a water seperator filter, which this never had before. Should I remove the filter out of the fuel pump, or leave it in there?
