Back on the water after over a month of setbacks. We head out of Deland towards Lake Beresford and about 5 minutes after we get up on plane we hear a bang and the whole boat starts shaking and vibrating. Crap, what did we break now?? We immediately drop down to idle and I put the drive up to see if it fell off or something. Nope, its still there.

We make our way to Lake Beresford at idle, and out in the middle, I jump in the water and take a look. Apparently we hit something and bent the crap out of the prop. We made our way to Holly Bluff they dont have props. So we bring it pull the boat out of the water and head home. Stopped at Bobs Marine supply and he had props. So while I am ... See Moreinside some jerk was yelling at Chris because I was parked kinda funky, because they dont really have boat parking. Not really blocking anybody, just a bit in the way. Well she got out to move the truck and left it running, and the doors locked. So we were stuck there for about an hour. Well we figure while we were there we might as well buy a prop and put it on. So Geico shows up, we get in and head back to the river. LOL. Ran great the rest of the day.

It gave us time to get the new prop mounted and all, but yeah and hidden key would be nice. Worst part of it all, our spare key was in the beach bag, inside the truck. LOL.

Well we have had it out several times now. The first run we shredded a belt. Stopped at a restaurant and got a ride to the local parts store where we were. Had a nice dinner, and made it home without issue. Took it back out last weekend and shredded another belt. It looks like my balancer wasnt completely tightened up. It took a full turn til it stopped. I tightened it to spec the first time, but apparently you need to go much further than that to get it all the way in.

So we officially named the boat last weekend, ceremony and everything. We took it out yesterday and finally had a trip without any issues.

Now to get a few small things fixed.

There will ALWAYS be a few small things. Your name says that you already figured that out. Good Luck!
