I just installed a 1994 ocean pro 225 on the back of my Mako. We got it all pluged in, primed and she fired right up! After that we tried to hookup the tach, and no dice. The needle droped down to zero after starting, but never registered anything else.
Last weekend we ran it and it went great, but without a tach I don't know if I am getting WOT and I cant check my prop size.
Its a new factory mako gauge that I bought as a package. I have tried to switch the setting on the back of the guage with no results. I believe we have it hooked up right, but I cant find the correct diagram on the PDF manual I have to double check it.
I was looking at the wire harness last night and I see another pair of ring terminals, also poking out of the main engine harness, what are these for?
Any info would be great, this weekend we are going to hook up a buddy's 'extra' tach to see if that registers.
