(Assuming you're saying you can't get it to start back) Compression test, and then spark test. That's always the first two things to check. If those both check out, then look at the fuel system (tank vent, primer bulb, etc). It will die if the vent is closed after running for a bit, because it literally runs out of fuel because the tank can't vent.

Open the vent and see if that helps, you may have a vacuum. Even though your gauge shows 1/4 tank the pick up tube may not be able to pull fuel from that low level. Add more fuel and see what happens. What happens when you pump the primer bulb?
