engine life

i was wondering if trolling with a 1976 55 horse evinrude will shorten the life of my motor i had it out today on kananaskis lake and used it all day for trolling and moving from location to location at wot, it ran great.got a 8 lb bull trout as a little bonus even.

Might load up on ya, and will need some sort of de-carbing, but it will not shorten the life of it. That moving from spot to spot at WOT will clear it out...I think you're fine. Thats a real workhorse motor.
