Engine mount question

85hp Force outboard, I forget irhow it was mounted. Should there be a gap in between the top of the transom and the mout? Or should it rest on it? .Anyone have pics of their forces?

and its only mounted with 2 bolts, but has holes in the lower part of the mount for 4. should i drill for 2 more?

There's no way to say what the exact height it should be mounted at without looking at it, and then it will only be a starting point. You need to have the AV plate (the flat plate above the prop) even with, or an inch or so above the bottom of the hull. From that point on its all in the fine tuning of the setup, you may be able to go higher, but you won't know until you get it on the water.
