Engine noise mercruiser 7.4

I have a strange noise coming from the engine. It occurs only when the engine is warm and turning the steering wheel. What could make that sound?

Possible gimbal bearing

Gimbal bearing was replaced a few weeks ago.

possible gimbal bearing or bad u-joints

Gimbal bearing were replaced a few weeks ago. And the engine were aligned at the same time. I visually inspected the u-joints when i pulled the drive and they were fine. No play.

Doesn’t sound like either the UJ or the gimbal to me. More like a power steering pump or belt pulley. Not sure but almost sure it’s not them.

I tryed disconnecting the power steering pump but the sound still remains..
