Hello,
New at this 27ft Baylliner, 1977 350 chevy with 270 or 280 outdrive.
We were having a blast boating on the Ohio river yesterday, then my girl says she wants to open it up a little.
We going along at a good speed when the engine starts slowing down on it own.
I was on the fly bridge and the gas throttle was froze so I went down to the bridge and tryed to lower the speed but it was still froze.
Finnally the engine stalled and I was able to get the throttle unstuck in the bridge.
But now it will not work at all on the fly bridge.
Finally I opened the engine door and it looks like we blew a exhaust hose.
My question is could the heat from that blown exhaust hose have distroyed my gas cable.
Next how do I change the hose without pulling the boat out of the water and how do I spec the hose part number.
Also I'm thinking baout replacing the lower gas cable/linkage.
Please help with trouble shooting techniques and tricks
Thanks Captain Don
