Engine power tilt for 90HP Evinrude

My power tilt sometimes does not lift the engine (no action at all). When I fully charge the battery it works again. It seems like any slight drain on the battery (which I just replaced) will cause the power tilt to stop working. The Engine/tilt is a 1996 90HP Evinrude. Any troubleshooting ideas?

Probably more info is needed.Does the motor start and run as normal when the *** doesn't ?<br /><br />DHP

Check your battery terminals. A loose connection will do this. Does your tach function normally?<br />An erratic tach may indicate you have a charging problem, causing your battery to get low-and the trim problem you have.
