Engine removal OMC V6

need info on how to remove the Buick V6 From the OMC Drive, have removed all bolts visable but the engine will not separate from the drive, do I need to remove the outdrive first?? How is the flywheel attached to the drive. I dont see any normal bolts like you would see on a flex plate. Any help greatly appreciated.<br /><br />David

Yes, you need to remove the out-drive.

OK Just for info I got the engine out, you do not have to remove the outdrive, the problem was that the rust on the input shaft was holding the flywheel up. Once we realized what the problem was we just pulled by installing wedges on each side of the engine between and bell housing. Thanks to all<br /><br />David DeLeon

The easyer way is to remove the drive, not so much for removal, but for reassembly. You may be able to reinstall with the drive on but you'll have to scrap with it to line everything up.
