do Chrysler CM655 diesels come in both counter rotating, and standard. I am looking for a pair, to switch from gas to diesel, but haven't seen any listed as counter rotating & standard. Thanks Bob

Unable to answer that question but have heard that find parts at a reasonable price is the main issue. That being said if your going to run diesels then you should have either Bravo drives or V-drives. If you have either of these switching the drive to rotate the opposite direction is easy, then just have two LH engines

I have walter "V" drives with warner velvet transmissions, I was wondering if switching the push/pull shift cable, to a pull/push. that would make the tranmissions run in reverse, there are 1:1 so I cant see any gear changes. and I haven't heard of any reverse running diesels like in gas engines. I've asked a lot of people and no one can answer that.

You don't have an issue with velvet drives, just switch the selector and stay far away from RH engines. you don't need them

Just to try and be safe, do you know the model number of the transmission. Have a look at the model chart on the 4th page down and page 25 to see if it will help at all.

Thanks FT, I jumped again :facepalm: and you were there to make sure there wasn't a mistake. I don't know the year of the boat and with that he could have an old one which isn't designed to go LH without modification
