engine seems to have lost "torque"

I have a 2003 Larson Cabrio with a 5.0L fuel injected Volvo 270HP SX out drive. I used to allways be able to get on plane with 8-10 people and a bunch of gear, now all of a sudden this year even with 5 people and no gear it could take 45 seconds - a minute with trim down and people moving to the front. It def. feels like a power/torque loss. How ever top end still seems to be the same around 46-50mph. Im still using the same 21 pitch prop.

I have 440 hours on the boat/engine and the last 2 years it has sat in salt water, before that it was a lake/ocean trailered boat. Could it have anything to do with my exhaust manifolds? as that is the only thing I can think of that will need to be replaced due to sitting in salt water.

Engine starts up no problem and seems to sound 100%. No old gas, new oil and filter.

Thanks in advance for any help.

When's the last time it had a complete tune-up and compression test?

Is the bottom clean? Has it been sitting the the water for 2 full years?
Bottom might be full of banacles and such.............and even the prop and outdrive.........are they clean?

The bottom is clean, I take it out of the water for the winters and keep the bottom smooth and clean. Its never had a "tune up or compression test, perhaps ill have to take it out of the water and bring it in...dang:rolleyes:
