Have a 2000 350 Mercruiser Inboard. Just bought the boat. Went out 11 miles on Sat and stopped several times in route. Left and on the way back after running at 3500 rpm (about 45 minutes) the engine coughed twice and shut down. The ignition CB was popped so I reset it and turned the key on and it popped again. Did this a couple of times then started looking at CBs and fuses. After 20 min the engine started and ran fine. Went out Sunday for a short trip...no problems. Went out Mon 11 miles, left from the same spot to come home and at the exact spot (45 min at 3500 rpm) the eng did the same thing. Waited 20 min, restarted and got home just fine. I know it's electrical, but does anyone have a suggestion about where to start? Seems it has to be something heating the relay and popping the CB. I think the only things wired to the relay are the solinoid, accessory, and ignition switch.
