I have a 2006 Volvo Penta 5.0 GXi F, DP, in a 24' Regal bowrider and two weeks in a row the engine stalled, i was able to quickly restart it.
When I leave the ramp it takes me about ten minutes to get out of the inlet running about 5 MPH, I then open it up to about 20-25 MPH around 3000rpm, and two weeks in a row when i hit a wave i get one beep and the engine stalls, it starts right back up and the rest of the day no problems.
The wave was nothing unusual and no bigger than any other i went through the rest of the day.
I changed the gas filter/water seperator in early july.
Is this the start of the ECM going?
Does anybody have any ideas?
