Engine Starting Analysis

How do you determine if engine starting problems are from the connection at the main engine harness plug being bad, a bad neutral safety switch, or a bad connection between the ignition switch and the slave solenoid? I have narrowed it down to these 3, but don't know how to proceed.

The neutral safety switch is easy to eliminate, just find where the wires to it are connected at the back of the instrument panel and temporarily join them together.

A test light will help chase down the rest.
