Motor: 1975 Johnson 85hp (85ESL75)<br /><br />While i was out on the water investigating a previous problem, i had the motor cover off and a wave swamped the motor and pooled around the base. I put the cover back on and headed back to the boat ramp; when i took the cover off there, all the water was gone.<br /><br />1. What happened to the water, is there a drain hole?<br /><br />2. What is the best method to clean and protect the motor now that it has been subjected to a drenching of saltwater?
