Engine swap, 302 OMC for 302 Merc, block only???

Have 1973, Merc. 188, 302 V8, have got 302 V8 OMC 1985 complete set up. I want to tear down the OMC for the engine only to rebuild and replace with the components from my Merc 188 set up. Can it be a straight exchange engine for engine?

I don't know enough about the Ford V8s to say whether there were Any Design Changes between those Years,........

It's Probably Doable,.....

Maybe 1 of the Guys here will Know,.....
Or,...
You could go to a Hot Rodder's Forum,+ Ask about the Differences in the Vintages of your Blocks........

Yep, swap away. I assume by 'components', you mean the external ones?

Hey Haut,.......

I've got the Backhoe on site,.....
If it warms Up enough to Start it,......
I'll be digging out that 351W,+ Stripping it,......

Hopefully,....... I'll be sending ya a Box in the next week or so..........
