i have a volvo 131 i have heard that normal engine operating temp is 200 is that correct.also after running at full speed for 30-45mins it sort of chokes out and if i eaz of trottle it ok for a little bit then stalls i replaced coil clean carberater got new battery and put new points on and plugs look good inboard gas tank is vented at the back of boat is there somthing else i should do :rolleyes:

Sounds a little too hot for a fresh water cooled and way too hot for a raw water cooled. Charlie

Temps...<br />RWC = 140<br />FWC = 160 to 195<br />Really, you just don't want hot salt water in your engine. It accelerates the electrolosis and sometimes causes a buil-up of salt where you don't want it. A RWC boat can run a 195 stat if it never sees salt.<br />Check for fuel pressure, plugged vent or maybe a vapor lock that takes a while to happen.
