Maybe a daft question but how difficult is it to extract more power from an engine? The one in Qs is a Merc 70HP early 80's with Thunderbolt ignition<br /><br />Mark

There are probably hundreds of posts on that subject here. The consensus the is when you motor is tuned to the factory specs with the proper set-up of the motor and the right prop you are going to get the best that your motor can deliver. If you want or need more than that get a more powerful motor.
