ENGINE WILL NOT TURN OVER

Howdy <br /> 1991 55 HP SUZUKI <br /> 3 cylinders<br /> on pontoon boat<br /> engine will no move, will not turn over<br /> battery is charge , cant turn engine over with<br /> fly wheel<br /> seems to be froze up like something is blocking it<br /> last time it was used two weeks ago , we had no problems<br /> prop turns free in neutal,<br /> engine has been using oil cause I add oil every time we go out<br /> thanks <br /> Owens3

First remove all the spark plugs and try to turn the engine over and check to see if any water comes out the cylinders if it tuns over....

hello. did you see any rust on the spark plugs when you removed them? it sounds like you may have ingested some water last time out and it caused a piston siezure.<br /> good luck and keep posting

Howdy<br /> thanks for answering and your suggestions<br /> I pull the head<br />. and # 3 piston is frozen will not move<br /> water damage , blown gasket, water passages full of salt, I have been flushing engine out after each use, but some how it didnt flush all the way, <br /> thanks for all your answers<br /> guess I will look for another engine<br /> owens3

Howdy <br /> found what happen <br /> the water flow tube from water jacket was stoped up <br /> # 3 cylinder injested water big time , this engine is a mess<br />, O well , repair or use for anchor<br /> dont know yet<br /> thanks for all the info<br /> owens3
