Thank you to everyone that provided their input to help me resolve an issue that totally stumped me for a few days. This boat has been nothing but a headache since I purchased it. But I’ve learned a lot about it no doubt. Got the boat running and it’s been running for 3 days now. The issue was a short in the purple wire connection from the ignition switch. Thank bunch everyone.

This is great news and glad you got it. It’s always the simple things that seem to be the most difficult but you stuck with it and got thru it!

You and this boat have been thru a lot and I know it may sound funny just now but in 2 years you will be proudly telling stores of overcoming all these challenges.

For me, and a lot of others on this forum, working on boats is part of the fun of owning one. Perhaps not the aspect of having to unexpectedly work on it >better to plan the work and do it on your schedule doing the normal maintenance AND those projects that improve the boat. Here is what I say: my boat, like a fine wine, gets better with age :)

You already know what a great resource this forum is and I hope you continue to use it to your full advantage and someday also be able to help others. Keep boating, have fun and be safe.

I can’t even begin to to tell you how much I appreciate you as if it weren’t for you pushing me in the right direction, I honestly would have let my frustration's get the best of me. Your wisdom and ability to to teach others of the same compassion you hold about your boat has definitely made me see all in a new light. Thank you.

Most definitely, here’s a coors light after a job well done. Meeting and discussing issues with people like yourself sure did make resolving the issue almost effortless. Thank you.

Thank you for your kind works and this is a 2-way street for me > your perseverance, willingness to post, listen, re-post and keep at it until solved frankly is what keeps me going as well. I am a lifelong believer in giving back, which is the reason I served in the US Navy (retired, submarines) and now at age 68 continue to work 50+ hrs/week to help push the company I work for forward into the future for the next generation.

And as I said above, I hope you continue to gain experience and skills and will also help others when you are ready.

Cheers to you!
