I have a 90hp tower of power on my monark bass boat and it won't idle in gear or start without the high idle arm raised. If I idle in neutral it will idle all day but when I shift into forward or reverse the rpm will continuously drop until the engine quits, If I bump the throttle up for a few seconds and back off again I can keep it running but having to constantly blip the throttle is a problem when approaching the trailer!
Hole shot and wide open throttle operation are just fine. Compressions are fine, plugs are brand new surface gap plugs (previous owner had automotive style plugs in it). No gas is dripping from the carbs, bulb pumps up nicely. Idle rpm out of gear is around 650.
