engine year

hi ive recently veiwed a 15hp mariner. I was told the serial no is 047992 but ive not been able to find its year on any sites. can anyone help? thanks ben

1991, there should be a D ahead of the number

umm not sure about that as ive not seen the engine in the flesh.
its advetised by a dealler and he said its jus been serviced and will have 3 months waranty. the price is £600.
in your oppinion is that a reasonable price?
