Enough power?

I'm looking at a 1980 Grady White 241 weekender. It has a 350 with 260 hsp. Dealer says new engine in 2006 with less than 100 hrs.

Is this enough power for this boat?

More is always better but you should OK with that configuration

Probably close to 5000+# boat. Unless you want a lot of speed you'll be Ok. Maybe 40-42 tops, but a decent cruse at just under 30

I don't think they ever offered anything bigger than a 350 in those so if you have your heart set on an I/O 24x of that vintage, I suspect that's the biggest option. A friend of mine has one with a 350, and it goes just fine.
