Re: Epoxy question
Garage floor paints aren't exactly the best Epoxies out there, they start with a low cost epoxy and reduce it with solvent in hopes that it will soak in and level. The problem is adding solvent to any type of resin will weaken it, sometimes a great deal.
The other issue is epoxies aren't very UV resistant, so they tend to breakdown quicker than other products when used outdoors, epoxy parts should be painted for good weathering.
And for people that say epoxy doesn't have much of an odor, I've used garage floor epoxy at my house, the smell was so bad I had to set up fans to blow fresh air in for two days. This probably had more to do with the solvents used in the formula, but it was still very strong.
