Eska 5 horse cooling ?

I have an old Eska with the tecumseh 5 horse I have included pictures to aid help with the cooling system!

notice the tube just above the prop! I here the exhaust when pulling the rewind! What are the holes about half way up the shaft housing!So how does it cool? This is my first boat motor! It seemed to run rather hot and I didn't see a pee stream of water anywhere!Thanks Dale

What help do you want.Do you have a model number?It has an aircooled power head and water cooled exhaust leg.Water should mist out the relief holes on the leg.It uses an impeller just above the antvent(cavitation) plate.There is a nut in the exhaust snout and under a cover in the front.If this has been a faithful companion and you want to refurbish it go to it if its a hand me down from the back shed I wouldn't put too much time or money into it.These have broken a lot of hearts over the years.
