Hello to all on the list. Looked for numbers found a tag just under the carb, T-6 40 03A and under that 6701411. It's an early 70's I think it's been in the garage many a season.

NO spark and I'm wondering can I get parts? and if so where? Can I use a coil off the Eska 5 Hp If I can find one?? Maybe someone on the list has these parts for sale? What do you think is the prob the coil? The cal says it's a solid state whats that mean no points it's a maganedo under the fly wheel. Do they go bad?

Any and all advice would be great.

Re: Eska 7 hp

If you do a little search here in Eska threads you will see that most feel these are not worth a big investment in money or time.Solid state ign are prone to failure,carb can be problematic and the impeller has usually failed.
All these can be rectified but at what cost?Try certrified parts corp for parts. If it was mine I would part it out and put the money toward the 100
times better Evinrude/Johnson 3,5,5.5,6hp motors from 52 up.

Re: Eska 7 hp

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to get it going I used this motor a few times 30 yrs ago as a child. I thought it would be cool for my children to use it all these years latter. I do own an 8 hp 4 stroke Merc.

I did do a little reading before posting but did not see any Eska 7 hp no spark issues. Maybe I didnt go back far enough.

Wondering whats it worth? I'm sure it cant be much.

Any and all help and advice would be great.

Regards;

Chris
