Eska, Elgin or other?

I was given an OBM without a cover. Made in 1971, motor type ?-642-02E, motor serial number 6531653, fly wheel says Tecumseh, a number on the fuel system is 373-2324, it is a single cylinder air-cooled, has a neutral-forward cluch, two knobs (choke and ?)and a speed lever. Can anyone tell me the Make, HP Rating, and the Model? (I was only told it could be a Sears OBM, 4-hp but they weren't sure.)

I went to www.sears.com...all...parts and typed in the model number and nothing came up. So, it could be something other than a Sears product.

But that's just the thing...I don't have the model number. I've gone to http://home.earthlink.net/~brixent/searsid.htm to compare the motor (engine) type number and come pretty close, but I can't line up the last three digits (02E). If I can figure out the model number I can then confirm the HP and then maybe find a manual. Thanks for your help.

I see alot of people saying they can't find the Model #. Have you looked where the motor mounts to the boat? Mine is off right now and that's where it is! Probably would have never found it! Also, try www3.sears.com. NOT,www.3. But www3.
