Hey guys new to iboats and have a few questions on my Eska/gamefisher 9.9hp outboard.
I purchased this motor from an older gentalmen today for $250. The story was he had purchased it new or almost new from a local marine shop in seattle some 15+yrs ago, used it a few times then garaged it for over a decade untill now....! The thing is mint and honestly looks like its been in a time capsule. Anyways I got it home thru it in a bucket of aqua, hooked it up to some gas and it fired on the 1st pull and continued to run perfect. I further inspected to see if it was peeing wich it was so I killed it and poked around the pee hole to make sure there wasnt and debri in the outlet. Started again and it flowed a little better than b4. My question is whats the norm for the amount of flow I should be seeing? Should I excpect a constant hard stream like I would on my 2011 suzuki df6? Or is it normal to pullsate and change flow? When I took it down to the local lake shortly after to really open her up I noticed for the most part at 1/2-WOT it would for the most part give me a pretty good steady stream. Lastly is it normal for the water coming from the peehole to me extremly hot??? I pulled the cover to feel the cyl head after a couple "hot laps" around the lake and the head was hot to the touch but not worthy of cooking any eggs.... Thanks again
